The Jack Langseder 4evrSTRONG Foundation 5K honors the memory of Jack Langseder, who was a student at Brandywine Springs School and a classmate and friend of three longtime Success Won’t Wait volunteers. In February 2007 he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma. During his 2+ year battle with this rare form of bone cancer, Jack fought courageously and was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Despite his illness, Jack chose to live each and every day to the fullest. He had a great love of learning and despite his illness, was tutored throughout, even returning to school at various times. Tragically, Jack lost his fight in October 2009. He was 13 years old.
This annual Jack Langseder 4evrSTRONG Foundation 5K will raise funds to support the Jack Langseder 4evrSTRONG foundation that has been started in his name. The mission of the foundation is to support cancer research and clinical trials, as well as raise awareness about the disease.
