Beginning in September 2008, we began an ongoing partnership with the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia (PAL). PAL operates 27 centers across Philadelphia — safe havens for children ages 7-16. We donated hundreds of books, specially chosen from our donations, to appeal to this diverse population.

We are continuing to add to each center’s growing collection, and eventually, each center will have its own mini library where students can work on school assignments or simply read for recreation.
