Although the heavens opened up and the sky stayed gray, the mood was bright inside the Success Won’t Wait tent at the annual Point-to-Point steeplechase held at Winterthur Museum and Gardens. In addition to exciting races over the museum’s extensive grounds, attendees watched a breathtaking antique carriage parade, ate fabulous food, and got to show off their Ascot-worthy hats (a Point-to-Point tradition).

Success Won’t Wait volunteers used this opportunity to give away hundreds of books to children attending the event. The books, donated by Pony Book Club, were a huge hit! Other merchandise donated by Pony Book Club — like saddle shaped keychains, books on tape, pony stickers and more — were given away at various stations throughout the venue.

Planning is already started for 2010, minus the rain!
