This week, the volunteers at Success Won’t Wait were thrilled to meet Georgia Chambers, the maternal dependency program case manager at Creative Health Services in Phoenixville, PA. Georgia works with single mothers or pregnant women who are struggling with drugs or alcohol. She connects clients and families with much-needed resources in the community,.

Since many of Georgia’s clients have limited education and are living in a shelter or transitional housing she wanted to find them books for their children, as well as books to read or books for themselves in order to further their knowledge. And, we were happy to help!

In addition to a selection of children’s books for read-aloud time, we also selected some inspirational adult books, new puzzles, coloring and sticker books, and even some adorable Carl Hiassen-inspired string bags for the kids.

As the population that Georgia services changes often, we are looking forward to an ongoing collaboration with Creative Health Services, to change as many lives as possible!
