Fall is just around the corner and that means… back to school!

To get kids ready to start the year off right, The Life Health Center, in partnership with Ultimate Scholastics Staffing Solution, will host a Community Cookout at Haynes Park on August 24, 2024.

The event will be an opportunity for K-12 students from across the city of Wilmington to gather and celebrate the end of summer and the back-to-school season. The event will feature food, games and a variety of vendors providing sign-ups with social services information for families.

And of course, there will be giveaways! From backpacks and essentials, to K-12 books provided by Success Won’t Wait.

For this event, Success Won’t Wait volunteers coordinated with Grants Compliance Manager Caitlin Britwum of The Life Health Center. The mission of the Center is mission is to develop wellness for individuals, families and communities. This is achieved through integrating culturally competent mental, physical and social healthcare services and promoting positive self, interpersonal and community relationships.
