Are you familiar with the Friends of the Hockessin Library? For over five decades, the Friends have supported much-needed expansions, new building construction, materials, equipment, and programs for the Library.
The Friends accomplish all of this through yearlong fundraising. And, one of the biggest efforts is the group’s highly anticipated Used Book Sale, which occurs four times per year. Since 2011, Success Won’t Wait has been a proud supporter of this event, donating tens of thousands of books over the past thirteen years.
And, the next Book Sale is right around the corner, slated for September 20-21, 2024, in the Community Room at the Hockessin Library, which is located at 1023 Valley Road, Hockessin. The Sale will run from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Friday the 20th and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday the 21st.
Planning on attending? Get ready for a whale of a sale. You’ll find everything from fiction to biographies, children’s book to cookbooks, self-help to poetry, and everything in between. Come prepared with cash and checks only. Credit cards will NOT be accepted. All proceeds benefit the Hockessin Public Library.
If you can’t make the September sale, the final Book Sale of 2024 will be held on November 22-23. For more information about the Friends of the Hockessin Library or the annual Used Book Sale, please visit Friends of the Hockessin Library.
