For over five decades, the Friends of the Hockessin Library have supported much-needed expansions, new building construction, materials, equipment, and programs for the residents of Hockessin, Delaware.

How does the Friends group accomplish all of this? Yearlong fundraising! And, one of the biggest efforts is the group’s highly anticipated quarterly Used Book Sales. Since 2011, Success Won’t Wait has been a proud supporter of this event, donating tens of thousands of books to support Library programming, events, and building projects.

If you’ve never been, the next Book Sale is right around the corner! The event is slated for November 22-23, 2024, in the Community Room at the Hockessin Library, which is located at 1023 Valley Road, Hockessin. The Sale will run from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Friday the 22nd and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday the 23rd. You’ll find everything from fiction to biographies, children’s books to cookbooks, self-help to poetry, and everything in between. 

If you’re planning on attending, come prepared with cash and checks only. Credit cards will NOT be accepted. All proceeds benefit the Hockessin Public Library.
