Success Won’t Wait Provides 100+ Books to A Helping Hand’s Adopt-a-Family Holiday Program

Partnering with other organizations throughout the state is always a win-win! And, this month Success Won’t Wait has teamed up with A Helping Hand, Delaware to make the holiday season more festive for children in need.

100+ brand new pre-K through middle school age books, including a variety of titles, were provided by Success Won’t Wait for A Helping Hand’s annual Adopt-a-Family program. A Helping Hand began “adopting” families in 2018 and this year, 50 Delaware families will receive gifts under the tree, courtesy of the dedicated volunteers at the organization.

A Helping Hand touches the lives of over 20,000 residents of New Castle County annually, serving the homeless and providing food, clothing, housing, and mental health services to those in transition. The group also as works directly with senior citizens at various senior centers across the county, providing meals, as well as providing personal care items to seniors on fixed incomes.

Many thanks go to Monique Williams-Johns (pictured) for coordinating the donation. Monique is a longtime Success Won’t Wait volunteer, the founder of A Helping Hand, and the newly elected President of the New Castle County Council.
