For over 50 years, the Friends of the Hockessin Library has supported much-needed library building improvements including expansions, new materials, equipment, and programs for the residents of Hockessin, Delaware and surrounding areas.

How do the Friends of the Hockessin Library accomplish so much? Fundraising… all year long! And, the most important fundraisers are the group’s quarterly Used Book Sales. As a proud supporter of these events since 2011, Success Won’t Wait has donated tens of thousands of books over the years.

If you’ve never been, the next Used Book Sale is September 5-6, 2025. The event is held in the Community Room at the Hockessin Library, which is located at 1023 Valley Road, Hockessin. At the sale, you’ll find everything from children’s books to cookbooks, biographies to beach reads, plus everything in between. 

If you’re planning on attending, please come prepared with cash and checks only. Credit cards are NOT accepted. All proceeds benefit the Hockessin Public Library.
