In March 2025, Success Won’t Wait installed a mini library in the lounge area of the New Castle County building. The building serves as the central hub for government operations, business affairs and essential services within New Castle County, Delaware. The launch of the mini library marked the beginning of an ongoing initiative to enhance the workspace for New Castle County employees and was the brainchild of New Castle County Council President Monique Williams-Johns. Throughout the past year, expansions have included additional shelving, as well as a broader selection of books. And this week, more than 100 more books were added so employees can take moment to relax, recharge… and read!

Success Won’t Wait volunteers carefully curated a collection of books tailored to reflect the diverse interests of the on-site employees. This collection includes many genres, such plenty of fiction, but also self-help, finance, investing, history and even cooking, decorating and travel. By offering such a wide selection, the mini library ensures that every employee can find something enjoyable to read during their breaks, or take home to read later.

 “This resource not only promotes leisure reading, but also fosters continuous learning and personal growth among the county’s hardworking staff. It’s a symbol of commitment to the well-being of our employees,” Williams-Johns explains. ”By fostering a culture of reading and learning, we believe this ongoing initiative will have a lasting and positive impact.”

Success Won’t Wait extends a heartfelt thank you to Monique Williams-Johns for her vision and support in creating this opportunity for county employees in appreciation for the work every day to improve the quality of life for all county residents.
