Kids. They’re absolutely incredible. And each year on the third Thursday in March (this year, March 19, 2026), parents and adults everywhere let their kids know just how amazing and valuable they are. This national letter-writing campaign, where kids receive letters of support, love and encouragement, makes a positive impact that can last a lifetime!

Founded in 1997 by the Camp Fire organization, Absolutely Incredible Kid Day has reached 115+ million people. Participants have included notable individuals such as actor Harrison Ford, television personality Oprah Winfrey, Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductee Jerry Rice and U.S. Astronaut and former Senator John Glenn, as well as former presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

And here at Success Won’t Wait, we have personal experience with some of the most absolutely incredible kids around … our volunteers! From hosting book drives, to cleaning, sorting and labeling tens of thousands of books, to attending book giveaway events, these kids are the best.

So, here is our very public thank you letter to all of the student volunteers who have donated countless hours to the Success Won’t Wait literacy mission, not only in the past 12 months, but over the course of the past 24 years. WE COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!
