Success Won’t Wait Volunteer Ashley Rose McNeill Wins Kohl’s Kids Who Care Scholarship for Outstanding Community Service

kck-logoCongratulations to Success Won’t Wait volunteer Ashley McNeill, who was recently honored by the Kohl’s Kids Who Care® Program as a Regional Winner in the scholarship program. For her outstanding community service in the area of literacy Ashley will receive a $1,000 scholarship toward the college or university of her choice.

The Kohl’s Kids Who Care® Program recognizes and rewards young volunteers (ages 6-18) who help make their communities a better place. According to official program literature, in 2009 the Kohl’s Kids Who Care® Scholarship Program recognized the selfless acts of more than 2,000 youths who are making a difference. Two nominees from each of Kohl’s 1,004 stores nationwide each won a $50 Kohl’s gift card as Store Winners.

194 Regional Winners, like Ashley, were awarded $1,000 scholarships toward their post-secondary education. And ten National Winners will be awarded $5,000 scholarships. In addition, Kohl’s will donate $1,000 to a nonprofit organization on their behalf.

Since the program’s inception in 2001, nearly 9,000 scholarships and prizes totaling more than $1.8 million have been awarded to young volunteers nationwide.
