Since this week marks Delaware’s Week of Service AND Earth Day, the Naked Book Recycling Program kicked it into high gear!
Already we have removed covers (rendering the books “naked”) on 38 garbage bags (over 570 lbs!) of unusable, yellowed, torn or stained books and donated them to H.B. duPont Middle School’s Abitibi Paper retriever fundraising effort.
The next recycling day will be this Thursday, on Earth Day. Can we beat last year’s total of 2,000 lbs.? Check back to find out!
