Since Success Won’t Wait began, one of our most important projects has been to support the Friends groups of local libraries. Thousands of books have been donated to these groups — from Dover, to Smyrna, to Hockessin — on a regular basis.
Yesterday, we provided another 500+ high quality books to the Friend of the Hockessin Library in Hockessin, Delaware. The Friends of the Hockessin Library group was organized in 1975 to bring a much-needed and long overdue library to town. And, in 1977, that dream was realized!
Today, the Friends group works hard to raise funds for special purchases (like AV equipment and additions to the collection), as well as children’s and special new programs. The annual Friends of the Hockessin Library Annual Used Book Sale funds the organization’s projects and Success Won’t wait is proud to support their efforts.
