An additional 700 lbs. of books pushed the Naked Book Recycling Program past the 12,000 lb. mark this week, as we delivered yet another truckload to the Student Council Members of H.B. DuPont Middle School!
Now in its third year, the program takes book donations that are unusable (yellowed, torn, etc.) and turns them into “found money” for local schools through The Paper Retriever Program.
The Paper Retriever Program benefits society and organizations through the recycling of newspapers, magazines, catalogs, mail and of course, old books. Each participating organization reduces landfill use, saves water and energy.
Many thanks to the Student Council Members of H. B. DuPont Middle School for partnering with us in this venture!
