Highlands Elementary School in Wilmington, Delaware celebrates National I Love to Read Month with a gift of 300+ children’s books

February is National I Love to Read Month and is the perfect time for teachers, parents and librarians to get kids extra excited about reading. And, what better way to spark enthusiasm than providing a child with a book of their own to take home? That’s exactly what Highlands Elementary School’s librarian Amy DiGuglielmo thought when she contacted Success Won’t Wait earlier this year!

Together, we came up with a plan to reward positive behavior by providing Highland’s students with their choice of a book to keep. Over 300 books were provided by Success Won’t Wait and Ms. DiGuglielmo coordinated distribution at school.

Congratulations to all of the Highlands Elementary School students who earned a book this month. And remember, keep reading!
