Since its founding in 2002, Success Won’t Wait has been privileged to work with many outstanding volunteers. These volunteers commit an extraordinary number of hours toward furthering the SWW mission — and often through the plain, hard work of sorting, repairing and labeling thousands of books.

One of these longtime volunteers is Vincenzo Carrieri-Russo. Vincenzo has been a volunteer for many years and has pitched in wherever and whenever he was needed – from manning book drives, to delivering book baskets, to putting hundreds of children’s books in locations like St. Anthony’s School – Vincenzo has done it all!

So, we are pleased to announce that this outstanding volunteer has been recognized with the President’s Volunteer Service Award http://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/ for completing over 100 community service hours in a single year!

The President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation, established in 2003, created the President’s Volunteer Service Award program as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.
