The collaboration between Success Won’t Wait and Delaware Stars is officially underway! Delaware Stars for Early Success is a Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) used to assess, improve and communicate the level of quality in early care and education programs in the state.

Early care and education programs participating in the Delaware Stars program demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement. One of the key components necessary to earn “stars” is the program environment, which is where Success Won’t Wait will pitch in!

Success Won’t Wait volunteers Nolan Moss and Vincenzo Carrieri-Russo are spearheading the effort to place age appropriate children’s books into every location that requests them. This is a massive undertaking, but based on the mountain of books already assembled, the boys are well on their way!

The project is moderated by Julie McDonald of Delaware Stars and Vincenza Carrieri-Russo of Success Won’t Wait.

Delaware Stars is funded by the Delaware Department of Education and administered and managed by the Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood (DIEEC) in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Delaware.
