Over the last several months, a team of Success Won’t Wait volunteers have been diligently working toward a very special Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Celebration at Warner Elementary in Wilmington, Delaware. This week, all of that hard work came to fruition when Success Won’t Wait co-founder Vincenza Carrieri-Russo — who is also the reigning Miss Delaware United States — was able to deliver over 1,000 books to the school!
The children at Warner were thrilled. Vincenza was able to visit numerous classrooms, speak with the children, and even do a little read-aloud. But, the best part was that the children were then able to choose a book to take home a keep. They all promised to faithfully read their books!
The donation was coordinated by Antionette Valentine, an Employment Services Specialist, as well as Principal Marcia Johnson and Alice Conlin of Warner Elementary.

And of course, the donation would not have been possible without the hard work of a group of dedicated Success Won’t Wait volunteers — a few of them Warner alumni themselves — including Mike McCallister, Samantha Grandy, Margherita Carrieri-Russo, Italo Carrieri-Russo, Vincenzo Carrieri-Russo, Matt Papa, and Jonathan Sestak.
