Each Spring, the Friends of the Wilmington Library host a massive Used Book Sale and this week Success Won’t Wait donated an additional 1,000 books to the sale. Our total now exceeds 4,000 books donated!

If you are not familiar with the Friends Group, they do so much for the library, including:

• Providing new equipment for the Library,
• Providing new books and audio-visual materials for public use,
• Contributing 1,800 hours annually of volunteer time for improved Library Services.
• Paying for Literacy Volunteers of America students and tutors to attend national conferences, and
• Supporting the Library’s “Focus on Quality” Capital/Endowment Campaigns.

The group is able to operate all of these great programs and through fundraising efforts, including the Used Book Sale. The books that Success Won’t Wait has donated – from self-help, to crafts, to cooking – will help fund the ongoing maintenance and expansion of the Library and its programs.
