2nd graders at Eisenberg Elementary School in Delaware receive 150 books for the “Daily 5!”

EisenbergEvery so often, we hear from a dedicated teacher who consistently goes the extra mile for his or her students. A great example is Patty Ranonis, a 2nd grade teacher at Eisenberg Elementary in Delaware. When we received the following letter, we knew we had to help:

“I teach 2nd grade at Eisenberg Elementary School in Colonial School District. Our school is 100% free and reduced lunch. I have some amazing students that love to read and I am in need of some books for my classroom library. This school year I am implementing a new program called the Daily 5 which requires lots of fiction and non-fiction books. I was hoping that your organization would be able to donate some books to my classroom.”

So, this week we met with Patty and provided over 150 books for her students. It’s going to be a great school year!
