Success Won’t Wait’s Miracle of Reading Education Book Drive is Fast Approaching!

I received an email from John Larock of the First State Robotics Team (Miracle Workerz) today. Plans for Duel on the Delaware 2009 are well underway! And there are already only 7 team slots left, which means that this fall Salem County Community College will once again be filled with the best and the brightest high school students from all around the East Coast competing to see who will win the robotics competition and bragging rights for a year.

It also means that the Annual Miracle of Reading Education (MORE) Book Drive is coming up quickly, so we need to be prepared! Last year, the teams worked incredibly hard to collect books for the drive – and of course, win the Community Service trophy and free entry to the Duel!

In 2008, the teams collected an astounding 14,000 lbs of books. For those of you who have never tried to move that many books, let me tell you – it’s truly a mountain!

As always, we so appreciate all that the MOE group — and all the teams — do for us every year! We are really looking forward to another successful drive… and if last year is any indication, I guess we’d better make some serious space in the warehouse!
