Success Won’t Wait holds Used Book Drives throughout the year to collect books for its literacy projects. The largest is held in conjunction annually with First State Robotics at the annual Duel on the Delaware Robotics Tournament. Teams from all over the East Coast compete not only in the Robotics Competition, but also for the Community Service trophy. In 2008 alone, the teams collected an amazing 14,000 lbs. of books!

In addition, schools and other groups often will coordinate a Used Book Drive and name Success Won’t Wait the beneficiary of the books that the group collects. Our most recent drive was held in conjunction with the Philadelphia Phantoms Hockey Team. For each book donated the fan received a chance at an official Phantoms jersey. Success Won’t Wait co-founder Vincenza Carrieri-Russo also got to become am honorary Phantom for the day!
