Success Won’t Wait sends 500+ K-5 books to Africa through the University of Delaware Alumni Association literacy project!

Success Won’t Wait volunteer Italo Carrieri-Russo has been active within the organization since 2002. As Community Liaison, he is busy every day sharing information about Success Won’t Wait’s many literacy programs, networking with new volunteers and contributors, and making important community connections.

His most recent coup? A partnership with the University of Delaware Alumni Association (of which he is a member) to help send much-needed books to Africa. When Italo learned about the project through the UDAA, he immediately knew that Success Won’t Wait could make a significant contribution!

This week, Success Won’t Wait donated over 500 books, which will be sent to Africa through the UDAA program. Books included K-5 textbooks, books for pleasure, and even books for teachers! A second donation is planned for later this fall.
