This month, Success Won’t Wait celebrated its 12th year serving the literacy needs of children through adults in the tri-state area (and beyond!). Founded in July 2002 by Susan Conforte McNeill and Vincenza Carrieri-Russo, Success Won’t Wait’s mission is to encourage reading, particularly by children.
The anniversary marks another important milestone for the group — surpassing 600,000 books collected and distributed locally, regionally, nationally and even internationally!
Examples of projects completed in 2014 include the donation of thousands of books to schools and community centers across the tri-state area. In addition, tens of thousands of books have been donated through ongoing partnerships with groups like the Friends of the Hockessin Library, the Friends of the Wilmington Library, and the Nemours duPont Pediatrics Program.
Success Won’t Wait is an all volunteer organization. To volunteer your time, talents, books, or to support the group’s mission financially, please contact Susan Conforte McNeill or Vincenza Carrieri-Russo at 302-388-9669 or email Susanmcneill6@comcast.net
