Success Won’t Wait co-founder Vincenza Carrieri-Russo is one busy lady! In addition to her oustanding work over the last 12 years as Assitant Director of a busy literacy non-profit, working full-time for Google, and earning her degree at the University of Delaware, she somehow made time to win the title of Miss Delaware United States!

Asked what she would like to accomplish as Miss United States, Vincenza replied, “My personal commitment as Miss United States is to touch as many lives in a positive way as I can. For 365 days, Miss United States holds the power of the crown – and I don’t plan to waste a single one! Since being crowned Miss Delaware United States just five months ago, I have made over 100 appearances to share my love of reading and have donated tens of thousands of books. I am so excited to be able to make an even greater impact on a national level.”

This week, Vincenza leaves to compete with other hopefuls for the title of Miss United States. Her offical Miss Delaware United States Send Off Party will be held on Saturday, June 28 at The Queen in Wilmington, Delaware. There you can enjoy a buffet at $25.00 per person and support Vincenza as she departs to compete at the 2014 Miss United States Pageant, held on July 1-6! Tickets are available at EventBrite.
