13-year-old St. Anne’s student Sean Ellis collects over 1,400 books for Success Won’t Wait!

Sean Ellis, Success Won't Wait
Sean Ellis may only be 13 years old, but he is already achieving big things! His book drive yielded an amazing 1,400+ like-new and gently used books for Success Won’t Wait’s literacy projects!

Sean Ellis is an 13-year-old student at St. Anne’s School in Middletown, Delaware and an incredible supporter of Success Won’t Wait’s literacy efforts. Throughout the month of February, Sean took advantage of the buzz surrounding “National I Love to Read Month” and conducted a massive book drive at his school.

Sean logged well over 20 hours of volunteer time for this one event. It was time well spent, since his book drive yielded over 1,400 books for Success Won’t Wait literacy projects! Of course, Sean collected a little bit of everything, from pre-K board books, to teen favorites, to best-selling paperbacks — but, there were also hundreds and hundreds of much-needed children’s books for ongoing and new projects!

Sean’s enthusiasm for this project was immediately apparent. In addition to creating collection boxes, writing announcements, and promoting the event, he also delivered the entire van load of books (with a little help from mom). Sean had an opportunity to see Success Won’t Wait’s operations, as well as learn a little about where the books he collected will eventually be used.

Many thanks to Sean and all of the wonderful supporters who continue to donate books to Success Won’t Wait. We couldn’t do it without you!
