
In 2015, Success Won’t Wait began to work with the Friends of the Wilmington Library, providing titles for their Used Book Sales and special events. And this week, we donated 750 books to the group, bringing our project total to an impressive 10,500 books!
The Wilmington Library Used Book Sale returns this April at the Wilmington Library on Rodney square. Book Sale dates and hours are:
Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday April 18, 19, & 20th
9:30 AM – 7:30 p.m.
Thousands of books as well as CDs, DVDs & puzzles will be for sale. Prices range from .50 and up, most items are priced at $1 or $2 per item. The books are sorted into categories and are both hard and soft covers.
The Wilmington Library Book Sale Preview for the Friends members will take place:
Saturday, April 16th
12:00 – 2:00 PM
Membership accepted at the door.
Proceeds from the Used Book Sale are used for:
- equipment for the Wilmington Library,
- books and audio-visual materials for public use,
- expenses for Literacy Volunteers of America students and tutors to attend national conferences,
- publicity for Library events and advocacy for Library services, and ‘
- major funding in support of the Library’s “Focus on Quality” Capital/Endowment Campaigns.
