Success Won’t Wait was pleased to partner once again with Nemours duPont Pediatrics in their ongoing a book giveaway program for children who are patients at the clinic in Wilmington, Delaware. This week’s donation of 300 books pushed the program total to more than K-3rd grade 3,500 books provided by Success Won’t Wait!

The program is simple — and effective. Every time a child has an appointment at the clinic, they are encouraged to select a book to read and then take home. Sometimes, siblings get into the act, too! By increasing access to reading materials, the program helps kids of all ages get enthused about reading (and it takes their minds off the necessity of receiving shots, too!).

Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Jessup Street, is a primary care pediatrics teaching site for the Thomas Jefferson University College of Medicine, where medical students, residents and attending physicians all work together to provide the highest quality primary pediatric care.

Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Jessup Street has been awarded Patient Centered Medical Home™ Level 3 Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This award recognizes the site’s ability to provide enhanced care coordination and communication with patients and their families, leading to safer and better care.
