Did you know that reading aloud to your baby is one of the most important things you can do for his development? Reading aloud to children of all ages is an important form of stimulation, but for babies and pre-K children, it’s especially important.
Reading aloud not only teaches babies and small children about communication, it also introduces crucial concepts such as numbers, letters, colors, and shapes in a fun way. Plus, reading aloud builds listening, memory, and vocabulary skills.
This week, Success Won’t Wait volunteers put together a 100+ donation of pre-K books in both English and Spanish for a nearby preschool.
This donation was coordinated by Mr. Larry Jilk. Larry is the founder of the Phoenixville Read Aloud Program and has partnered with Success Won’t Wait on variety of projects since 2011.
Many thanks to Larry, the Success Won’t Wait volunteers who put together this book donation, and Don McNeill who handled the delivery.
