For a first time teacher, setting up a classroom can be a challenging, and expensive, endeavor. At Success Won’t Wait, helping teachers build in-classroom libraries is one of our primary goals. And, when we were contacted by Hannah Sviridovsky, a new University of Delaware graduate and middle school teacher, we knew we had to help.
Hannah is a 6th Grade English/Language Arts and Advanced English/Language Arts teacher at Alfred G. Waters Middle School, located in the town of Middletown, Delaware. Alfred G. Waters Middle School is home to approximately 900 6-8th grade students in the Appoquinimink School District, one of the state’s fastest growing school systems.
Because the school boasts a diverse enrollment, Hannah’s wish list of books included a wide variety of titles – from sci-fi, to thrillers, to historical fiction, plus more. This week, we donated 100 books to Hannah’s classroom and students.
Many thanks to the volunteers who helped put together this donation!
