Throughout the pandemic and lockdown, Success Won’t Wait has not been able to accept book donations. Luckily, that has changed and the organization is now back up and running at 100%! Recently, New Ark UCC took advantage of the group’s updated status and provided a massive donation of books for local literacy projects such as stocking Little Free Libraries and Delaware school donations.

New Ark UCC had hosted a pre-pandemic “garage sale” and stored hundreds of books which had remained unsold, until Success Won’t Wait was able to accept them. (Pictured is just one of the carloads of books which were donated!)

The New Ark UCC is located on East Main Street in Newark, Delaware and its congregation welcomes all worshippers regardless of age, race, ethnic origin, sexual orientation or physical or mental challenges. According to the church’s leadership, “In actively practicing our faith, we use our resources and talents to aid and assist those in need in our local community and to seek social justice wherever we see opportunities do so. We also commit resources to wider ministries, thus providing stewardship to much broader communities.”

A huge thank you goes to New Ark UCC members Tracy Dickerson for connecting the two organizations and to Debbie Micklos for coordinating the donation and facilitating the pick-up.
