Success Won’t Wait recently took part in the P.S. Dupont Middle School’s Back-to-School event, hosted by the school with the assistance of the Brandywine Education Foundation. Students were able to choose from free school supplies to help ensure that this school year gets off to a great start. Also available were hundreds of free grade-level appropriate books donated by Success Won’t Wait. After the many upheavals of the past year, getting every child reading on grade level is a big task, but ensuring that each child has their own library of books at home is a huge step in the right direction!
The Brandywine Education Foundation was founded by James R. Hanby, Sr. in 2013, and is committed to investing in the community and supporting the students, staff, and families of the Brandywine School District. The independent foundation provides scholarships to graduating seniors in the Brandywine School District, as well as funding for innovative programs that support academics, parental involvement, and recognize outstanding educators. Still want to participate? You can still donate supplies in the lobby at district office, Hanby Elementary School and Lancashire Elementary School.
