Did you know that many doctors believe that a child who has never had the experience of being read to is not a fully healthy child?  The American Medical Association feels so strongly on the topic that it has suggested that all doctors prescribe “reading to children!”

So, when Michael deSalvo of Nemours duPont Pediatrics contacted us for some help getting a book giveaway program started for children who are patients at the Nemours duPont pediatrics clinic in Wilmington, we knew this was a wonderful idea!

Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Jessup Street, is a primary care pediatrics teaching site for the Thomas Jefferson University College of Medicine where medical students, residents and attending physicians all work together to provide the highest quality primary pediatric care.

This week, Dr. L. Cooke, a pediatrician of the clinic (pictured) visited the Success Won’t Wait offices to collect 200+ books to get this program started. This will be an ongoing project, so look for updates soon!
