Although the heavens opened up and the skies stayed gray throughout the day, the mood was bright inside the Success Won’t Wait tent at the 2019 annual Point-to-Point Steeplechase held at Winterthur Museum and Gardens in Delaware. In addition to exciting pony races over the museum’s extensive grounds, attendees ate fabulous food and got to show off their Ascot-worthy hats (a Point-to-Point tradition).

But, best of all, Point to Point is a perfect opportunity for Success Won’t Wait volunteers to give away hundreds of books to children attending the event and raise awareness for our mission. The book giveaway is actually part of a larger event-within-an-event called the Kids Fun Hunt.

Since 2008, Point-to-Point race organizers and Success Won’t Wait have teamed up to create the Kids Fun Hunt, complete with crafts, games, and of course prizes.

Over the last 10 years, we have given away thousands of new books at this event and introduced Success Won’t Wait to local parents, business owners, teachers, and more.
